Where did November go? When you are on vacation you just kind of lose track of days. When we left there were nearly two weeks left in November. We get back and it’s gone! The first half of the month we had our Operation Christmas Child Shoebox packing party. We had a great group to fill boxes. We filled 150 boxes that Saturday. There were ten boxes that were filled individually, and three boxes were packed online. Amanda delivered 160 boxes to KNLB to begin their journey. Shipping was sponsored for all 160 boxes. Great job Church!
Our next project is Pregnancy Care. I contacted Debbie to find out their needs for this year. Here’s the note she sent me.
Hi Robin,
We want to thank you, John & the congregation for thinking of us at Christmas! We are so grateful for our generous community! We are in need of some older children's clothing in sizes 3 through 5T. We always need wipes & diapers (needs are sizes 3, 4 and 5) Here are a few brands of diapers that are hypoallergenic & free from Chlorine bleaching, perfumes, lotions, parabens & phthalates. Millie Moon, Rascal, Mama Bear (Amazon brand) We are always grateful for toys & books and of course monetary donations help too. Sometimes people want to choose their own gift and we love that too! Again, thank you so much!
The luncheon is Feb. 21, 2026 @ 1pm @ Hampton Inn & will be catered by Sweet Breeze Crepes. You will be gifted 1 table that will seat 6 guests. If you wish to purchase an additional table the prices are: $45 per ticket or $240 for a table (6 Tix) Thanks so much Robin!
Gifts can be placed under the tree in the sanctuary. Monetary gifts can be placed in the offering plate with a note designating it for Pregnancy care. These gifts will be delivered shortly after Christmas. Also, you have got two months to let me know if you will be interested in going to the banquet in February.
That’s it for this month. I need to catch up from being gone so I can slow down and savor what this time of year means. Remember not to get so caught up with accomplishing things that you lose sight of celebrating the birth of our Savior.
Merry Christmas
Robin
